Hi

I balanced my carbs at the weekend, and was just reading up on the PAIR valve removal.

From what I understand, I just need to take it off, make a blanking gasket, and re-fit?

However, that's not my main question...

From what I've read on here, Cylinder 2 is the vacuum for the tap, Cylinder 4 the vacuum for the PAIR valve, but my Cylinder 4 vacuum point was blanked off, the PAIR valve is still on the front of the block though.

What would this do?

Yup, and this had a 2" Length of hose with a screw in it, not a pipe for the PAIR, I didn't realise until putting it back together, when I've replaced the hose with one for my scottoiler.

What are the consequences of having no vacuum to the pair valve?

Ah! Nice one. I have to remove the exhausts for that? Sounds like snapping studs to me. I'll just leave it!
