Well my friends, here is the information you've all been waiting for....full details of the 2011 Swarm.

When is it.... Friday 15th July to Sunday 17th July.

Where is it....Eardington, nr Bridgnorth, Shropshire

The venue....
The Halfway House Inn
Eardington
Nr Bridgnorth
Shropshire
WV16 5LS

Tel. 01746 762 670

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Firstly, please read this carefully.

Please let me know in a reply below if you are definately coming and whether you're staying overnight, so i can let the landlord
know about numbers.

The venue has 3 different types of accomodation... camping, bed & breakfast rooms and cottages.

If you are just camping then all you need to do is turn up on the day and your camping fee will be collected from you.

If you want to book a b & b room or a cottage between a few of you, then you must contact the Inn DIRECT and arrange it with Peter the landlord.

The cottages are a good way of very reasonably priced, comfortable accomodation for people who are getting a bit long in the tooth for roughing it
in a tent...oh, and the wimmin too.

If you want to book a room or a cottage i would advise you do it asap, as this is in the height of the season.

Note.... Peter the landlord is kindly holding the accomodation purely for us, but only until the 9th May, so get yours booked up asap.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are some useful links from the Inns website with prices etc....

General info 1... http://www.halfwayhouseinn.co.uk/index.html

General info 2... http://www.halfwayhouseinn.co.uk/page2.html

Camping... http://www.halfwayhouseinn.co.uk/camping.html

Bed & breakfast... http://www.halfwayhouseinn.co.uk/bedrooms.html

Cottages... http://www.halfwayhouseinn.co.uk/cottages.html

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There will be of course the usual shenanigans going on over the weekend, rideout, quiz, raffle and trophies to be
won for best and worst Hornet.

So lets make the 2011 Swarm a reet guddun whether its your first, or like me, your 12th, and i'm still not sick of seeing all your ugly mugs.

If you need any more info or just want to hear my sexy geordie voice, please dont hesitate to contact me on 07775941045
or e-mail me.... mart.hall@tiscali.co.uk

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please remember to let me know below if you are definately coming and whether you're camping or not, many thanks.

couple questions;

what is the earliest you can get on site on the friday? its a 180mile trip and wanting to leave early (may be 22 but i still love a good nap :angel )

also how much will the camping fee be is it the £7 a night stated on the website?

Prices are as on the website.

SPIT!

I miss the Spring Sting (just back from Andalucia), and now I'm missing the Swarm (again), due to 'babysitting' a friend out to Brno Superbike for July 10th! Back mid - late August - returning to Hungary, then bimbling around Tatras and Matras, into Poland, Ukraine, etc - sometime after MotoGP Brno (the 'babysat' wants to take in some other races too - personally I'll pass, I don't 'do' the racing rip-off circus any more, Valencia was the last straw).

The 'icing on the cake' was finding Dunlop don't do the delightful 207E's any more (trying Roadsmarts instead now). :cry

Ah well, maybe next year (and next bike). Have a good one (not around much this coming year or so - so #Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year All!# :p ).

I'll just be camping saturday night but I was also planning to pop over Friday afternoon and hitting some of the local B-roads if anyone is interested in having a ride-out for an hour or two.

neil, as most of the members are dotted around the country,it can vary from person to person.
it has been mentioned earlier in the thread most arrive from dinner time ( 12pm) onwards

not sure of the time we are setting off yet as i need to sort route etc
done a route now and its going to take me at least 2 hours minimum.
so all going well i would expect to be there from anytime after 1-2pm or later 8o

pm / phone me if you fancy meeting up en-route :)
