Another fab fab Nest event!!

Shropshire has some lovely lovely roads but I have to admit the downpours we had on Saturday morning made me seriously think we should reconsider the rideout! Anyways, whoever did the sundance THANKYOU! The clouds cleared giving us dry roads and hot sunshine by the time we got to our lunch stop :D

Montford Bridge Cafe - well if you Google it, you'd probably never go (eh Rich?! :lol ) but they fed us all promptly and I think everyone enjoyed their grub :Lick choccy cake, yum! - Marmota might have overdone it with the twin burgers tho! :lol

On to Ironbridge, where in the sun it had become pretty hot and the waterproofs some of us started out with were now very much surplus to requirements - Hornetroadrunner did this magical illusion with a fleecy top and and incy bit of underseat storage! hehehe.... never let it be said we only get rain, I got sunburnt!!!! :rollin

A couple of mentions...

Top marks for SJ for organising cottages etc, Rich and the rest of you who got together to ride up to Shrops (I love it when Nestees converge for meets 8o :D ) Tracey's Stu for bringing her bike up on Friday so she could be our TEC for the ride (and of course the lovely Hornetroadrunner for her shepherding on said rideout! Cheers hun xxx) and lastly a huge thanks to Mart da Guvna, for coffee chat and general larking about :angel

Massive respect for all that ignored the weather forecast and came along - always great to see familiar faces, and especially nice to put faces to names that have only previously been pixels :angel :lol :k

One or two memorable moments....a near remodelling of a Peugeot, Stu drinking beer thru a straw thru Jon's ear (dont ask! :lol ) Top 10 Ways to Wear a Cargo Net :eek :lol and the fastest Hornet vs a certain (surprised!) R6!!!! :rollin

So sorry I had to dash off early, but I trust you all had a fun night with Mart on the Bingo :lol :lol :lol

Please please post up any pictures you might have too! 8o

Luvs you all, Smiler! :k

A big thankyou to everyone who organised the event...really enjoyed it and considering the weather forecast it was a good turnout and the weather men were completely wrong :kissmyass

Thanks guys and gals for another successful swarm :clap .... as usual the weather turned out quite good even though the forecast was crap.
With only about 30 mins of the rideout in damp conditions, we were glad to get the "just in case" wet gear off at the lunch time stop.
We did around 100 miles riding of some lovely A/B roads without anyone speeding doing backfires or wheelies :lol

Awesome meet up again, we certainly know how to enjoy ourselves. Really can't believe we managed to turn the "rain all day" forecast into burning sunshine!

Smiler - cracking rideout and we didn't lose anybody (just one K&N), thank you. Just the one turnaround :)
SJ - Thanks for sorting out the roof over my head, sorry about all the pen on your arm (I still can't get the blue off mine)

When's the next meet, I can't wait

Rich

Was brilliant to see everyone again! so enjoyed the rideout too (including the quick brakes test quite alot of us had haha) Hopefully those that didn't manage to come will read these wonderful remarks and reconsider braving the possibility of rain next time. We even got Mart to join us with a little bit of damp left on the floor :P

See you all again soon guys :-)

Well I'd just like to say thanks to everybody who organised it. It was a grand job and a pleasure to be there. I think my route home must have taken me not too far away from you as I skirted around Ironbridge.

Looking forward to the next meet when I'll hopefully be on a sound bike and body.
