Scott, there was some talk about the Ace Day being combined with the Sting In The Tail, but there's been no official announcement made yet AFAIK

Funny how members find these things out before the Club Administrators do...............................

Yeah I'm up for that, would prefer a bed but could camp if really necessary. Need to sort out a route and location. I guess we could do the same as before, ride down to Loomies on the Saturday, staying at the pub in Billingshurst and then do a ride up to the Ace on Sunday?

They list it as starting at 9am at the Ace. Hmmm we'll be lucky!

I could ask the Bat and Ball if that weekend is free, unless someone has done so already???

B&B's close by and a travelodge around the corner.

This event is being looked into most capably by Smiler. Please don't go off on one and start making arrangements that may already be in the pipeline.

Someone jumped the gun here, before Da Management was ready to make an announcement, so can we just back off a bit, and all will be revealed in due course

Tracey, not sure what Smiler has in mind - do you want to pm her?

aw Nestees!! Please forgive me!! Had lots on lately!!

Right, well we could head for Billingshurst if thats what peeps want to do BUT do remember that the Bat & Ball DO NOT have B&B, only camping facilities!!!

I was investigating an alternative but similarly, there is no accommodation only camping available. However the pub landlady seemed pretty welcoming and even offered to do us a very reasonable evening meal deal. It does though have B&Bs nearby, and also a Travelodge about 1 mile from the venue. Its about 50-60 miles from the Ace, and offers the potential for a nice rideout route on the Saturday.....any good??

I'm always open to ideas of places to hold meets, but as you can imagine trying to find something suitable for EVERYONE can be quite difficult 8o

There is that one we went to from the Ace 1 year.

Englands Rose, Postcombe? Does have some B&B and camping area.

Not sure of the area for rideouts.

We used to regularly hold events at the Englands Rose, but then they turned the biker's bar into a fancy restaurand, and stopped making us feel so welcome.

Check out the events pics on the main web-site for 2000-2003

I don't think it's a problem having people in B&B as well as camping, especially if we plan it together so those down the road can share a cab and whatever.

Where were you looking at Smiler?

Hello

Definatley up for this, have been very busy all summer work wise and family commitments. Would be up for the Bat and Ball at Billinghurst for camping, was a good venue when I came to the Spring Sting.

I'm easy (especially after a couple of pints :lol ) I'll go anywhere. I hope you all don't mind but my Fazer riding buddy will be with me also. If it all goes ahead. :D

Chris

Rich, it was a place in Liphook, just off the A3....but!.....if we can maybe do the Englands Rose @ Postcombe it means folks can B&B it too! :k

Also means its a little more central for people to get to, and a very easy ride to the Ace on the Sunday morning..

ok, I'll give the pub a tinkle tomor and see if I can charm my way in with some story about you lot being mature, sensible, quiet biker types... :p

:lol

ok.....Englands Rose at Postcombe are more than happy to have us there!! :D

Camping is £10 per tent per night....I am leaving this to you to settle with landlord/lady as some of you might want Fri or Fri/Sat nights ;)

B&B available @ £38 for a single and £78 for a double room

or Travelodges 4/7 miles away from £40 - £60

I'm sure we can put together a ride for the Saturday...so....

who's in..?

:angel

Would love to take the club stand etc to the Ace as its been a good while since we've had it there. Last time it was a complete washout and the gazebo didn't leave the back of the Transit. So if i can get the time off work i will be there. :D

Me and him have just had a natter about this.....

We might bring the van with a small bike in the back for 1 of us. (cant get a biggun in) Then one of us ride a hornet to pub. Sleep in the van. Only 1 of us can do saturday rideout and Ace. Unless he goes on the back of me for the Ace bit. If the weather is good then the little bike might get a run to the Ace.

The other option is we both ride our hornets there/that area. Will prob stay in a travelodge and can share a taxi too and fro from the pub fri and sat nights if anyone stays at a travelodge.

If that makes sense? :lol :D :help

Assuming I've recovered enough, I'll see you at the Ace. Won't make the stopover though

I could deal with a couple of tents in my back garden. Only 15 minutes from the Ace. Very cheap. :lol

Me and Him have booked the Oxford Wheatley Travelodge for the fri and sat nights. :)

We will both have our Hornets there. Harry & Monk.

It is about 7 miles from the pub so we will be taxi hunting if anyone wants to share?

See ya'all soon. :oohlala :D

I have also asked a friend of mine to help me plan a rideout route for the saturday.

He has advised me there are some loverrrrrrrly roads to have a bit of fun on. (thanku Giggity, someone from a different forum i go on)

Unless someone else wants to lead the rideout, Rich, Ben, Hucks? or you other local'ish boyz or gals? or non locals that wanna give it a go!!!!

I'll get a route sorted in me head justy in casey.

I'm not stealing this from Sheila(Smiler) I'm just trying to help out before anyone thinks otherwise.

The Ace meet on Sunday is a fab meet up event. Not Sure if plans are there for a ride out from there?

Anyway i'm waffling, but its exciting to know i'll see some of ya's soon.

Tracey, you're a star! :k Thx hun!!

Forgot to mention, the camping has the use of showers/loos etc as part of the pub itself, which the landlord is happy for people to use. There is also a function room/area that we can have the use of too :D Looking ok innit?? :angel

EDIT***** the pub have agreed that anyone camping it up can also get breakfast too if they want it!**** :D

Right, just so we can be considerate to the pub, I will start a new thread for people who are definitely coming :D :D

Allriiiiiiiight!! We have a meet booked folks! yahooooo!! :lol
