Sam aka sameasy sorry I can't remember the one on the right :help

I'm the one on the right :D

Good to meet up with all the Hornet riders, I was invited along by Sovrec from this site who also posts on the CB1000R forum so it was a good turnout for Honda owners on the day :D

Hi Jon and Stuart, Yes it was a pleasure meeting you both. Although we are miles away, with a bit of planning we could always meet up!!

Personally I have no issues with doing the miles, Just cant be asked with riding in torrential downpours :Bang doesnt make riding fun for me..

Sorry to hear - nevermind, but to keep all those who were keeping an eye out entertained why not consider one of these ! forget new, there's some bargains to be had at the mo' - comes in at 44% of your original budget ...

Sorry to hear that, I too was looking forward to the reveal. Neither mind...

WOW!! nice bike Jon, How does it compare to the 600??
My next bike will be a 1000cc + but not a naked, more a sports tourer I think.
I like the BMW K1300S :love

..have still got the Hornet at the mo' Sam (sale in spring !) , but I can't recommend the CB1R enough - it's a shame it's not sharing the Hornet name as it has the same spirit as the 600 - great sporty ride and easy riding position - it's taller than the Hornet but you feel much further forward on the bike (short tank and slim clocks).

Handles great but the power...man..unbelievable ! - Is easy to ride but you just have to watch the speed, but thankfully as a naked you're fully aware of the wind ! The Hornet requires more work, which I think is great and the 600 is definitely more economical ! I'll be sad to see the 600 go as I love that bike and I'm pretty sure I'll return to the fold at some point one way or another - I'll be getting out on the Hornet just to keep the wheels turning and to cherish it a little while longer..I don't intend to leave the 'Nest as I've met some great folks here and definitely want to keep in touch for meets etc...hopefully I've picked up some Hornet advice which I can continue to share !

I'll be keeping the 1000 for a while and have some subtle upgrades planned once the budget allows (had to push out the boat to buy it without selling on the Hornet), but just about got away with it (via a very understanding Mrs !)...

I bought it from Southport Superbikes and they are a BMW dealer - very nice bikes - (the K1300S is a hell of a bike ) - if you fancied a Honda my mate has a CBF1000 (he used to have a Blackbird) and swears by it...

I'm on my 3rd CBF1000 and it's probably the best alll-round tool out there.

Still wouldn't be without a Hornet in the garage though :)

Cheers Sam .... might be after Xmas (although I've sneaked in a rad guard, crash bungs and some - surprisingly bloody good for £20!!!! - Chinese levers! ) ...off to the bike show in late November but I'm getting a bit worried about the hammering of my credit card ! Hopefully if I get the 600 shifted by March I can get a few bolt ons on order ! Shame it's all cold and horrible at the mo' !
