Just saying hi , I've not really joined up for me , more for our daughter who we have just bought a 2001 Hornet S for .

This is her first "proper bike" after passing her test in August .

Hello and welcome to you both :D

Excellent choice of bike! :angel

It's a very capable and entertaining bike for all levels of experience - I've had my 1998 Hornet 600 for 17 years and still prefer it over all the other bikes I've owned in that time - including my current CBR. :D

I'm taking it for a spin this evening , a quick test before the youth gets it on Sunday .

Looking forward to it . It does seem a quick and nimble machine from my experience so far .

Yes absolutely - can easily hold it's own on the motorway (still has power and acceleration after the ton) but is small and light and will turn on a sixpence in heavy city traffic - easily the most useful bike I've ever owned.
