Hi, I have finally worked out how to join this forum under my own user name. I used a friends user name to get me in the door so I can become a member.

I've actually owned about 15 CBR250's and I have become a bit of a guru on them. After seeing my very first Hornet 250 about 4 years ago I knew that I had to have one.

I finally bought a wreck and made it all custom. I did post up a thread under another name, but I will fix it very soon.

I really hope to make some good contacts here and to gain/give as mush knowledge as possible.

I do have some big plans including a turbo on the bike. At the moment it's a case of too many toys and the money is pred very thin.

I do plan to open my own workshop very soon andI hav just started to reant some space so I can play.

Anyway..I'll keep in touch.

I put up some pictures from the build ages ago. I forgot that I haven't done it. I'm working interstate and when I get back I'll be rebuilding the engine after the head gasket blew. I'll do a step by step thread with the engine. Anyway enjoy the pictures.

Motor in the jig ready for painting. I checked the shim clearance and I was amazed to see how low klm this motor is. Under the tappet cover they are normally golden brown from the oil. This was like brand new. No staining what so ever.

Got to love that 180 rear..

The wheels look awesome on the bike. Bit hard to tell without any rubber at first.

Everything is painted in 2 pac. The orange is a candy apple orange from the hybusa and the black on the tank, guard, side fairings and rear is a candy apple balck.

The frame and the other parts are just gloss black.

I'm glad you like it as I love my hornet.
