Hi to everyone,

this is my very first thread at the hornet's nest, so I guess it would be a good idea to introduce myself.

My name is Michael, and my username "Flyingbrick" is dedicated to my BMK K100 I owned a couple of years ago. I sold that one in 2015.

Since 2008 I owned a bunch of Honda CB500 and 500S. I still have two of them, a strictly original CB500S '02 and a sporty custom CB500S '99 with lots of modifications.

Nevertheless, I have been after a Hornet for ages as the Hornet combines the CB500 weight with the K100 power plus, she's a real beauty in my opinion.

Last week I bought one of the first Hornets that were sold , an early 1998 CB600F. It is in a mint condition with only 9400 km on the clock and except from crash pads, no modifications have been made.

But see for yourself:

Yesterday the bike has been registered, the licence plate shows "H-PC34". :clap

Thank you for your Kind comments! Tomorrow is an important day: after nearly 19 years, the second set of tires will be mounted :)

Just wanted to let you know that I am working on a Hornet 900 which was an occasion. The bike has seen only 20,000 km but has been dropped by the previous owner.

The damaged parts will be replaced by new ones, so I'm going to restore it as it was before.
Tyres and chain kit are worn and the TÜV (MOT) is expired, but I'm looking forward to get it back on the road within the next month.

I will keep my Hornet 600, so I'm going to own both series.
