I've just solved a problem with sending mail from my ntlworld.com account, using either Windows Mail or Outlook Express.

If you have ntlworld.com, blueyonder.co.uk, or virgin.net email accounts, and find you can no longer send mail, then change the email account's outgoing server to smtp.virginmedia.com instead of smtp.ntlworld.com. etc.

Looks like Virginmedia have been playing with things, without telling anyone. :Bang :Bang

I abandoned using outlook on a home PC about 8 years ago and just use on-line accounts - the amount of spam, dodgy attachments , set up issues !, and complete loss of emails ( outlook crashes) just wasn't worth it - both email systems have security issues but in my mind online email accounts win hands down ! Hope you get yours sorted ! Jon

I'm with you on that Jon. I have always used Hotmail, with virtually no issues, compared to the Ole Man, who uses Outlook Express, with hassle after hassle
