6 guys on one moped?

With that kind of raw talent they could start a moped display team.

Not surprised... best get away vehicle in London seeing as the :copper won't give chase

With so many 'human rights' perilously balanced on two wheels i'm surprised the :copper didn't provide an escort to ensure their safe passage :Bang

Amazing how those folks in the pic ferry the whole clan around on the family scooter. :D

Regarding the robbery - most of these toerags ride two up to their latest bike jacking, theft etc - unmarked plod should intercept any scooter carrying young males two up around the centre of town and do a hard stop on them - chances are they will catch them with hammers, angle grinders etc and can do them for 'going equipped' - once they are in custody they then have the opportunity to find out what other nefariousness they have been up to.

Sounds like a job for vigilante justice.

There must be enough London bikers out there on big adventure bikes who could 'accidently' knock some of these scum off their scooters. Better still, run a Chelsea tractor over them. Several times.

Nah, adventure bikes are just overweight sports tourers.
What they need is a squad on 450 enduro bikes. They could then mount curbs & cross parks with ease, and catch any T-max in a built up area. Also they don't get too damaged when dropped, or need two men to pick up again.

Yeah - I used to post on a London Bikers forum a few years back - living or working in London often necessitates parking your bike on the street usually in a bay - a lot of people on the forum were losing their bikes to thieves - either from outside their flats or places of work - my brother in law for example had his Speed Triple nicked from outside his office - one guy had his brand new BMW S1000RR stolen from an underground car park - which hit his insurance premium so hard that he couldn't afford to insure the replacement.

Reporting the theft to the police didn't make any difference - police resources were and are too stretched to put any effort into aprehending bike thieves and recovering stolen motorcycles.

With bike theft getting out of hand and people feeling powerlesss and increasingly angry and frustrated a few people mentioned getting together and placing a 'bait bike' in a known theft hotspot, catching the scrotes in the act and meting out some 'street justice' before handing them over to the law - like most of these things the idea fizzled out due to practicalities and an awareness that taking the law into your own hands puts you on extremely dodgy legal ground. Lovely idea though.

Yeah - on more than one occassion filtering down the centre of heavy traffic I saw a guy on a motocross bike jump onto the verge/pavment to cheat the congestion - I would have ridden one myself to get through the gridlocked mayhem - but I had about 25 miles of motorway to cover before I got into the city so I needed a decent road bike.

Hope they got a few kicks in while restraining him, and I hope he falls down the police station steps a few times as well. And then 'persuade' him to shop the ones who got away.

Pity they didn't wave their axes at the armed police. In the current climate I wouldn't have given much for their chances. Bastards.
