Hi,

I just got hold of an ancestor to the Hornet, a CB900F Bol D'or (SC01) from 1979:

Unfortunately it has been repainted sometime in its life, and I now want to restore it to its original colors.

The original papers says red, but I am having a bit of difficulty determining what was the original decals for this - any of you have any knowledge of this. My research so far indicates, the original colors to be the ones below, but am I right?

Any help appreciated,
Jacob

There's a colour chart and a stripes (decal) chart on this page:

Thanks both of you!

Maybe I'm just a moron, but I can't seam to find much useful on the bike-parts-honda site (except from the top image, which suggests the color scheme I mentioned in the top post).

@Richard: Thanks, but the chart is for the '82 version, but I did find some useful information through cmsnl:
A question under their forum led my to: https://cbdecals.afegraphics.com/view_p ... it-CB00480

Which confirms the stripe colors! Thanks

I just thought that I would update an old thread. Unfortunately I did not have much time to work on the CB900 over he summer, but I finally got startet during Christmas and it is now starting to come together. Everything was taken apart and the frame painted and engine cleaned (don't mind the mess in the shed):

I have just picked up part from the painter and it looks absolutely gorgeous (in my eyes):

Now I can't wait for the weekend when I have some time to put the rest back together!
