Some knobber has turned one of the most iconic sportsbikes of the last 30 years into something a clown would ride around a circus big top:

And he wants 7k for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well at least it has spoke wheels and a round head light :thumbup

Though It does look a bit 'scrap yard challenge ' :thumbdown

I possibly over-reacted as I was surfing the motorcycles section of Ebay after a few 'ales' :pissed

I just can't think of a worse motorcycle to try and evoke the spirit of a cafe racer with - it's like a mash up of the 'Terminator' robot and Cliff Richard . . .

EDIT: its funny how the forum changes a word that rhymes with Jeremy Hunt into "really"

LOL - It's completely clueless isn't it?

What's even worse is that it was done to a MK1 Blade - the Original Blade - with the twin round headlights which are now totally collectable :Bang

I get that its a "soul-less" japanese mass production bike but bikes like that shouldn't be pissed about with. I personally love the blades and seeing it turned into a dog ugly thing like that....

I kind of liked this cafe/tracker/scrambler scene at first because the streetfighter thing has been around for years and it was nice to see some fresh ideas - but It soon became clear that although the bikes look good in photo shoots most of them wouldn't be that great to actually ride - it's also getting irritating seeing road bikes with big, heavy road engines kitted out with inappropriate off road tyres and dressed up as pseudo 'scramblers' and 'flat trackers'.

Only my cup of tea. Seems a rather strange choice of bike to modify in this Way.
