great day yesterday. first time back on track after the collar bone break 3 and a bit months ago so i was taking it very easy! got some instruction in the 2nd session and got feedback on all the things i was doing wrong and other things i needed to be doing. it was quite a list! :lol one of the biggest things that will take a while to 'get' is putting your weight through the outside peg rather than the inside one when cornering. it's really really difficult to do but by the end of the day i was getting better at it but still have a long long way to go! the main thing for me was i brushed up on my technique and made it round in one piece, mainly working on body positioning and correct gearing.

anyway here's the obligatory pics! :k

Glad you had a good day :D

Did it take long for your confidence to return after the accident? Doesn't look like it :lol

thanks rich but not that impressive considering how many times i've been round there now! :rollin

no not really. i was back on the bike (on the road) 2 months after the accident and pretty much started where i left off. the first session on the track was really scary. plus the 4th session as that was the session i crashed in last time. but it's so important to relax on the bike in all circumstances you just get on with the task in hand. i had a teeny moment at druids when it was still damp and had a slide from the rear as i twisted the throttle on the exit but you're so focused on the next corner you don't have time to dwell on what just happened.

was a great day with easytrack. cracking bunch of lads and some great instructors :thumbup

much improved body position mate.
look at your avatar pic and the difference is massive.
was going to comment before, but looks like the instruction has worked.
that should keep your pegs off the floor for a bit longer :evil

Looks like the rearsets have made a difference they look higher and further back.

huck, was getting at the fact that the bike is now much more vertical and body is futher off bike, which means
faster corners with less bike lean.
but yes, once the corners get faster the rear sets will be a big help

thanks steve. was def a good idea to get some instruction. makes you realise how much you're doing wrong and how much i was unsettling the bike before. that's probably it for this year now but looking forward to getting out there next year and getting faster.

tell you what respect to the lads that are running round in the fast group on hornets! hardcore :evil
