I have said it a lot before, There is very little between being quick and being VERY quick. :)

Be interesting to see the biographies of successful MotoGP and F1 riders and drivers - most seem to have had fathers who were also into motorsport - so these guys were being sat on bikes or in karts as soon as they could walk - their neurological motor skills and reflexes developing and learning when the brain and nervous system is at it's most receptive - plus they are already acquiring technical knowledge and understanding regarding tires, suspension settings, brakes etc just as they are hitting their teens.

I would so love to live near a track - then I could buy an old, cheap R6 or something (so if I binned it I would not be too upset) and take my riding skills so much further than is possible on the road. From what I hear getting on the track regularly is expensive? Particularly if you have to travel to get to one.
