this is to collect some specs regarding the Hornet 250 original rear mono-shock, in case someone needs it for reference later.

- Honda part number (1996 model): 52400-KEA-003
- make/brand/model: Showa (MBZ-C51 [?])
- eye to eye length: approximately 305mm
- top bearing: O-shaped, 28mm wide
- lower bearing: U-shaped, 32mm wide gap
- top and bottom fixing screws: M10, 55mm long, with lock nut
- preload adjustability: 7 settings
- rebound adjustability: none
- compression adjustability: none
- damper outer diameter: ???
- spring outer diameter: ???
- original spring load setting: ???
- shock assembly weight: ???


If anyone can update or correct some data, that would be great!


And here is dimensions took from Hornet 600 rear shock which is identical to the 250's:
