Have had a great chat with Mick Gardner Racing, and looks like they will have no probs making me a Bespoke Ohlins

rear shock.

I could just get a CB1000R shock off the shelf, but i am wanting the piggy back gas res with hi/low comp damping, length adjustable and different

top/bottom mountings.

should look something like this (but with extras)

whilst at Stu's getting the GS dyno'd,  i remembered he still had my Dot head,  he has re cut the valve seats and lapped the valves in.

so head is ready to go onto the bandit lump, going into the EFE. still need some cams, but will probably go for some after market ones, Kent, Yoshi etc etc

just need to pay Stu for the work haha.

talked his ears off with all my ramblings of wants/needs, shot the shit for a while, and came

away a happy man, having put in an order for

1) full set of engine cases

2) billet LED headlight

3) set of lockdown yokes with risers for fat bars with Motogadget mounts

all to be tastefully finished in anodise black.

just did a small bit of research which will save me a wad on pads for the Brembo calipers i am going to get!!

The calipers are sold without pads, when i did a web search it became very obvious why!! the cheapest i could find are £102 a caliper for genuine Brembo pads FFS.

after a bit of searching i have found some SBS fast road pads for ......................... wait for it!!!!!.................................£25.17 a caliper

now awaiting an answer on the SBS rear pads, Brembo genuine are £271 a set

been on a road trip today, popped down to visit Mick Gardner Racing about costing the shock and forks with a 50mm extender, they are going to price everything up

and let me know.

then called in to Red6 for a coffee and chat, confirmed with Mick what was wanted, now waiting for costing.

Onwards

Just curious, how long have you lived in N Yorkshire? About 25 years ago I lived in Harrogate a short distance away from you.

Very impressed by the fact that the quality and attention to detail on this build is 100% thorough and covers every aspect of the bike from engine internals outwards.
