The bar clamp/dash mount is awesome. This bike definitely deserves a magazine feature when it's finished - it is easily as good as or surpasses the custom builds that get covered in the bike press.

I very much doubt that mate - the quality and attention to detail on this build is second to none :clap

i seem to be doing my part for climate change by only buying things manufactured from carbon when i can, looks

that i am carbon negative with this build, as it is using more carbon than it is producing, Green or what?

PS, dont like the tyres you get with them!!!!!!!

I can only dream of carbon wheels but for you they are reality . . . :angel

Carbon construction equals up to a 50% (unsprung) weight saving over the standard cast items?

Blimey - I'd like to ride a bike with standard cast wheels (preferably on a track in perfect conditions) and then fit the carbons to gauge the difference - must be amazing. Only thing I've got to compare it to is fitting decent rubber after running a worn or particularly crappy set of tires - totally transforms the bike and the riding experience into something so much better . . . - go a few stages further and combine the decent rubber with the carbon wheels, high quality brakes and suspension and I'm beginning to appreciate why people spend the extra money on this stuff.

I got the carb inlet strainers through from Webike so as i had nothing to do i did a test fit.

they look a lot thicker & restrictive in the photo than they are in real life.

Got fed up with waiting for Brembo to sort out delivery of my rear caliper to WRS, so phoned WRS and told them to send all the bits that they had ready, and i would

wait for brembo to sort out the caliper and send it when they did.

just got an E-mail saying they had dispatched my order and marked the caliper as " on order"

Got back from work today to find a big box of blingy Brembo bits all the way from WRS in Italy  :)

Image

all was great with the discs & M/c's, quick pic of disc on wheel

Image

but less than happy with calipers! I know they are for Race use, but you would think that they would at least get them to be a SLIGHTLY better match

than this for what they cost?????

Think a snottogram is in order!

Sounds like someone got their code numbers mixed up - pretty poor effort on WRS's part - with components of that quality and cost you would think they would have checked the calipers matched before they sent them out.

after exchange of e-mails, ending with me saying if they dont sort it i want full refund, and pointing out to them that they have sent me old stock (caliper boxes opened and re sealed at least 3 times!!!) that i was not advertised as such and was led to believe was New from factory, they have asked for photos of the boxes caliper codes so they can contact their supplier about them.

Onward

They should just apologise and promise to rectify the situation as soon as possible - this is a set of Brembos after all - not some cheap Chinese Ebay knock offs! Their relationship with their supplier should be of no concern to you! :Bang

Yeah agree - diplomacy is always the best route through these issues - even when the other side is clearly at fault.

well i got a reply and it basically said that what i got is what i got!!  Brembo dont make these calipers as a matched pair!

they are individual made and sold, so they said if i sent them back and purchased some calipers that are sold as a "set" they would match coz they

would be made at the same time.

Sooooooooooooooooooo i have asked to send mine back and replace them with some .............................................. GP4-RR 32-36 Monoblocks

Stands back and awaits the answer from WRS!!!!

Probably more like that's what they had left on the shelf - they should have at least mentioned they didn't match before they sent them out - what with this being the age of email and everything - or maybe they thought you wouldn't notice? :angel - all said and done at least the GP4-RR 32-36 Monoblocks will resolve the issue. :D

wellll, a very nice man from DPD just delivered a package,

all the way from WRS Italy

these calipers weigh so little you would think it was an empty box!!

they are even better looking up close with all the CNC machining marks still there,

need to see if i can get some Ti pad pins for them.

as the bearings and holder nuts came through the post, i did a test fit of the yokes, happy with it so far, need to do some small adjustments

and might need a thinner bearing seat washer, but not wanting to remove the bottom bearing in case i cause the bottom yoke any damage   :help

Hahaha, I really should stay away from the interweb, i now have a new shopping list of bits to go with the other engine upgrades
Looking at Yoshi stage 2 cams with yoshi valve springs and retainers (set of Kent SUZ1 cams now up for sale), APE stainless oversize valves and HD cam chain.

looks to be the same set up that SPS classic endurance race team use  8o
