A rather crude little bracket i made with a hammer and some ali, just to see how things would look....

All held together with a screwdriver!

looks the dogs mate, was spec/year/cc does the rear blade caliper hanger come from? :help also stupid question but what did you use to cut the brace off the r1 swingarm? hacksaw ? grinder with metal cutting wheel ? jigsaw ? or was it some super duper fangled tool which cost the earth?

Being honest mate, i didnt cut it myself, i took it down to a local machine shop and told them what i wanted.

I know you could cut it off with a hacksaw mind.

Hi mate,

Hanger was from a 99 Blade.

Caliper im told is exactly the same as the hornet, however i ordered mine complete.

Hanger is purely to get the clearance on the brace yes.

Swingarm has not twisted at all.

Chris

How did you guys cut off the brace? Did you have the engineers cut it off, then weld it onto yours?

Cheers,

Tom 8o

think the hornet spindle is 17mm, the early blade has a bigger spindle 19 or 20mm 8o the newer ones have 25mm

Just a quick update to show where we are on this....

Top bracket is still being made, but as soon as it is, we shall have the back end on properly.

But heres a quick preview of what she should look something like...

Will be white carbon when finished.

Thinking 2 akropovic megaphones, one either side of the swing arm, should sound about right.

Here is one, with only one.

Open to suggestions.

Want low slung exhaust as the link pipe is going to be virtually impossible to run up to the underneath can.
