Hi all,

The washer / rubber thing on my petrol cap has perished over the 19 years it has been on the road. The drain hole is also blocked which I need to sort but does anyone's else have the same problem with the recess area of the tank cap filling with water when it's washed?

Any pointers to a new washer. Spoke to the stealer and they was quite unhelpful.

Just looked on the CMNSL website, which is my go to place for obscure Honda parts and part numbers.

They only list the complete fuel filler cap, at 80 euros, so it looks as though this seal is not available separately.

Get a sheet of fuel resistant viton rubber, and cut out a new seal ?

Sorry to revive this thread after a while, but hopefully this bit of info could help you or someone else...

Regarding the blockage in your fuel filler recess. This happened to me recently. Annoyingly, I had spilt some fuel in that area, which consequently didn't drain and melted all the paint off in there!!

Traced the problem back to a kinked breather hose from fuel tank. Annoying thing was that the garage were the last ones to have the tank off!
