Hi Guys,
I thought i would try to get ahead of this one before it happens and prepare myself for the worst.

Over the years i have heard talk of hornets being renown for dodgy gears. This is my third F9 , the previous two i took to 150k miles each and never had an issue.

A few weeks ago i noticed that when i shifted into second gear the gears make a loud clunk noise, the same type of effects you get when shifting into first gear.
Last week i noticed considerable feedback coming through the shift gear lever to my foot and now im starting to worry. I have only done 20k on this bike. Intermittent vibrations.
Do you think my gears are about to go and could it end up costing more than the bikes worth?

I felt exactly the same. After I adjusted my clutch freeplay and lowered the gear shifter (adjusted it closer to my foot) I could more easily put pressure on the shifter and that made a big difference in gear shift quality.
