Hornet is prone to head shake after fitting a top box!! further rearward it sits the worse the head shake will be :(

Its a combination of the extra weight beyond the back wheel taking away from the front wheel and the wind resistance again putting downforce behind the back wheel..... effectively trying to lift the front wheel.... I had it with my Bandit 650s.... just means no handsies are a no no

How many miles do you have on your front tyre....?

Another contributor to this could be the front tyre starting to wear unevenly...... and yes...it does happen....

gently sweep your hand over the tyre up the way from bottom to top..... if you can feel the ridges of the tread...even slightly... catching your hand... then you may need to replace the tyre....

Hi,

I had the same problem with my CB500.

When I switched to the Hornet I decided at least for now not to fit a top box - and I've had no problem.

I guess it's aerodynamics and something that you have to put up with. If you feel the steering wobbling with your hands on the bars, then I'd think it was more significant. I didn't on my CB500 so I just learnt to ignore it, and besides, you shouldn't be riding no hands anyway...! :D
