i have a heated grips to connect, i usually connect directy to the battery. but i allways to forget to power off grips.

anyone knows how i connect directly to the moto? only works when the moto is working ( key is on start )

all the oxford heated grips i have owned have had a built in function that turns off buy itself. I think it turns off buy a sensor that see`s voltage drop on the battery, but im not sure of this.

mine its a simple on, ebay under 10 bucks
works like a charm but i forget many times to power it off :blast

You need to find a work-relay and connect your heated grips via this. That way, you can use a consumable (such as your lights) to control your relay and connect the grips directly to the battery.

There is a link to the workshop manual on here, that will have your wiring diagram and show you which wire for the ignition circuits can be spliced into for a relay to your grips.

Sorry - I haven't been on for a while. As I wrote earlier, I would buy a working relay and connect the heated grips directly to the battery (through the relay) and use a "ignition-on" wire to control the relay (could be rear light fx) . This way you will not end up drawing to much current through the existing wiring.
