Hey guys back again, was having some issues with my hornet rattling from the top of the engine during engine braking.
have had the valve cover taken off and the cam chain appears to be quite loose. there is about 6mm of slack in the chain between the 2 cam gears is this too much? there looks to be some rubbing marks on the top chain guide from where it may have been hitting also the top of the chain has some pitting on it.
Is it possible just the tensioner needs to be replaced or is it a full chain/ guides/ tensioner..would rather not replace the chain if i dont have to as they're quite expensive
