for genuine Honda pads £38.39 per disc plus vat and pp. You can of course buy cheap shit that's on e-bay or you could buy EBC. Just remember its your neck that's on the line. oldgit919

No-one is talking about buying " cheap shit " and risking their necks. Just a simple question really , why are other genuine Honda dealers selling at the below prices , and at nearly half the price of Doble ?? I bought some genuine Honda pads 2 years ago from a Honda dealership, and they were indeed £44 for a FULL front set , both calipers , only thing I can think is that have Honda put their prices up ?? if they have the dealers below could be selling old stock off cheaper maybe , then thats fair enough, As for fakes , I am 100% positive that David Silver or Cox Honda do not sell fake Honda Parts. David silver price £44.48 a full front set genuine Honda !!! https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/par ... 455MCZ016/COX Honda ( A Honda dealership) on Ebay selling a full front x4 set even cheaper £39.98 Genuine Honda http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Honda ... 41708e7887

I wasn't accusing of buying cheap stuff just making a point if I offended you I apologise sir. But stuff has gone up and some has gone down in price. There are great deals out there at the moment. Just got a genuine Honda battery for my 900 £50.00 +vat, on special deal. just have to search. Not putting dealers name on as I don't want to upset our sponsor. oldgit919

Are the "Genuine Honda" batteries basically Yuasa ones?

No offence taken oldgit I honestly thought the guy at Doble had quoted me the incorrect price , hence my post , as I genuinely wanted to support our sponsor ,and buy them from Doble Im sure our sponsor is a big boy and me simply asking for clarification on some prices compared to other suppliers is not going to upset them So it appears its a case of " hunting " around for said Honda bargains then cheers

regarding the genuine Honda Yuasa Batteries, I am told via the trade that they are Genuine made in Japan and of better quality (twice the plates) other Yuasa are made in Thailand ? and not as good, that's what Im told. oldgit919

To be fair, Dobles have been pretty good for me - I'd challenge them on the price and explain what you'd seen elsewhere - they're pretty affable - I always shop around - Dobles have a standard min £5+ delivery charge on all orders so I tend to go there for a higher value purchase - from your search though it sounds like you've found some great alternatives ...

yes sov , I have only ever heard good things from Doble, and I have no doubt they are a great Honda Dealership to deal with, and maybe I should have questioned the guy more and to double check, but I didn't want to start bleeting " oh I can them cheaper elsewhere, you know " so left it at that. The new x4 pads arrived today , and they are indeed OEM Honda pads in the x2 sealed Honda packaging, all with a printed Honda headed receipt. I am still slightly perplexed how much difference in price from one Honda dealership to another is though for a OEM part that comes from the same manufacturer I wont let this put me off buying parts from Doble in the future, its just on this occasion I was left with no choice really but to purchase elsewhere due to the vast price difference.

It might mean nothing but the exchange rate for the Japanese yen to the British pound has risen from around 120 in 2012 to around 180 yen to the pound. This means that it costs around a third more for the stuff you purchase from the japs.........regardless, we UK bikers get shafted for Jap parts
